2/4/03 Dear Diary, If you’re anything like me you’re 5’9’, have brown hair and brown eyes and your name is Jarrod. But also, you enjoy doing nothing more on a Tuesday night than watching The Diggs do that unique thing they do especially if that Tuesday night happens to be February 4, 2003 at the Cat Club on Sunset Blvd! It was great, you could feel the excitement in the air! So there we were sitting in the Cat Club waiting to hear The Diggs play. You could feel the excitement in the air! This was the first time The Diggs played the cubby-hole known as The Cat Club. Now Diary, just between you and me, I’ve never really been a big fan of The Cat Club. I mean, the entire club is roughly the same size as my living room, minus such deluxe features as a PlayStation 2 and my impressive DVD collection--but I don’t want to make too big of a deal about how small the Cat Club is. I mean, what the club lacks in size it make up for with pictures of famous bands on the wall. At about 9:30 The Diggs took the stage. This was the first time the band had been on a stage together in nearly four months. You could feel the excitement in the air! Um hmm what should I say about the show? Uh...yeah, it was great, I had a lot of fun. Thanks for getting me in free, guys. About halfway through the band’s set I ran into the bathroom and noticed that The Diggs had placed their flier right over the toilet. I guess that’s pretty smart. I mean, if they run out of toilet paper, I can think of few things more appropriate to wipe my ass with than a picture of Jason Sheppard. Other highlights included an appearance by the hot girl that Wensman claims to be his girlfriend and the long conversation I had with the bartender/sound guy about how I always get Jason Batemen and Jerry O’Connell mixed up. |
